Ferdinand Keshindra (the original name of the great magician Ferdinand C. Argos) was an ordinary fellow — that's how most people in the little town where he lived would describe him. He would slip out of town alone on a leisurely afternoon and return by evening; no one knew, and no one cared where he'd gone. Had it not been for the sudden appearance of an evil sorcerer who destroyed everything, perhaps he would have lived out his days peacefully in that town.
Many critics have observed that Ferdinand "lacks emotion and has no ambition befitting a Fandrare" — and this assessment is well-founded. The attack took from Ferdinand both parents who hadn't loved him particularly deeply and the small town where he had lived for over a decade; during his journey north to pursue studies, he endured hardships one can barely imagine. Shinomong tried to save himself by attacking the town, but it was this very act that granted Ferdinand•C•Argos the power to kill him.
From this perspective, while 四季高岭 is indispensable, it seems The Nameless Prophet is what truly marks the beginning of this whole farce. However, had it not been for Ferdinand•C•Argos's guidance, 玊初 would never have gained the power to rival the Dawn Tower (i.e., the Reboot), and everything would have fallen into void. And if not for 希诺蒙's death, who among them could have severed this cycle of suffering…
