Ferdinand's original name wasn't Argos. At sixteen, Synomemn Laplace attacked his hometown Angro, and as a survivor he wandered north until reaching Argos.

At that time, Argos was in the midst of a frenzy of assimilation and expansion. To gain the recognition of the Argos people, Ferdinand took to calling himself Argos as well. Most legends and anecdotes originate from this period. The name Ferdinand Argos gained widespread fame as Fandrare, while his true name has since been lost to all memory.
