Players who arrive with a purpose can easily recognize that what is claimed in Ramesses' Journal is not fact. (The purpose of players researching this matter is to find the beginning of the contradiction between Clan Thurandare and Clan Sylva.)
The Morgras Sylva’s Record found in the ruined hut not far from the mine tunnels points out two unreasonable aspects: if using pure magic, destroying the mine's main support would require an enormous amount of magical power, and Serrano clearly does not have that much; however, if using mountain magic, the required magical power would be far less, and among the four people, Clan Thurandare, being most closely associated with elemental magic, is the most suspicious. Additionally, the Sellano at the Turning Point was likely written around 1365–1367, at which time the SMA headquarters had already moved to Putori, and Serrano and Thurandare were far apart—unable to even see each other—making it extremely unreasonable for Serrano to coerce Thurandare into writing flattering things about him, which clearly does not align with the "cautious and scheming" image of Serrano described in Ramesses' Journal. From this, it is highly likely that Thurandare voluntarily wrote the book, attaching a false name to便于栽赃毫不知情的塞拉诺,以此宽慰一事无成的拉美西斯——那并非他的无能,只是被老友陷害(拉美西斯与索兰达尔最终成为夫妻).
It must be said that the two reasons above are not sufficient to firmly establish that everything was a scheme of Clan Thurandare. However, the matter dates back far, and furthermore, if the above assumptions hold, the origin of the conflict between Clan Thurandare and Clan Sylva would be accounted for. Thus, it can be considered the most reasonable explanation.
The story is drawing to a close here, with the death of Archmage Keaperra Thurandare basically completing the loop. Players can choose to continue exploring or end the quest here.
