Today, SMA is an important organization that manages magical affairs across the southern nations, making it hard to imagine that its predecessor was merely a magical research organization founded by four young people. These four are: Versatilys Sellano, Tar Ramesses, Cleopatra Thurandare, and the fairy mage Elvin Sylva.
The story begins with three students from Cyrene Academy who were conducting research on the magical mechanisms of mages (the first three founders of SMA) and their encounter with the westbound mage Elvin Sylva. The four hit it off remarkably well, and even after Ramesses and Thurandare graduated, Sellano turned to politics, and Sylva set off on a journey again, they still kept up correspondence with each other.
During the decades that Sellano served in politics, Ramesses's father (a miner) unfortunately died in an accident, causing the former to have to stay in Sylvatia to work and support his elderly mother; Thurandare went to SingLand to pursue further studies, and after graduation, conducted magical research work at National University of Singhui.
As time moved on to 1353, Thurandare and Sylva, who had reunited in SingLand, returned to Sylvatia. Tar Ramesses' mother had already passed away, and with nothing holding him back, Ramesses wished to resume his magical pursuits — everything aligned perfectly. In May of 1353, the deeply moved quartet founded a magical research association called "CHANGE," the predecessor of what is SMA today. With the stage set, the story is about to begin…
