Lefkôs Elizabeth (?-893), an Eltarnern native, the last the TreeKeeper, the originator of The Pale Night, who committed suicide immediately after the incident, authored Dialogues in White.
Since childhood, Lefkôs displayed extraordinary magical talent, and was therefore selected at an early age as a TreeKeeper. Compared to her diligent predecessors, Lefkôs was more interested in the so-called freedom, and he was reprimanded by elders in the family on more than one occasion for neglect of her duties.
During an ordinary argument, Lefkôs’s careless strike caused the Tree to be rapidly whitened by her innate magic. Unnamable beings slipped through a rift in time and space, running rampant through the streets of Golhertarna. The elves' territory was soon completely devoured.
After witnessing the utter devastation, Lefkôs could no longer bear the torment in his heart, and finally took his own life through self-inflicted death using Mnemonia , the art he was most skilled in. Ironically, his corpse and everything the elves once possessed turned into the color he liked most during his lifetime—white.
